چکیده

Abstract In the construction of concrete bridges, lighter dead load decks can significantly reduce number or size substructure members, such as girders, piers and foundations. Although, arch (ADs) ensure superior carrying capacity have longer span length than flat (FDs), relatively minute studies was performed on manufactured shape to maximize performance. previous study, a precast reinforced (RC) AD with enhanced width 2.5 m developed. this behavior RC under punching shear studied. Three real-scale specimens were tested analyzed understand its performance loading. Different sizes ADs evaluate capacity. The failure mode obtained from test, results then compared various design provisions. Finite Element Analyses (FEAs) conducted validate experiment verify arching action thicknesses. study clearly verified that had higher similar load-carrying FD due caused by lateral restraint shape, despite thinner thickness FD. An analytical prediction model for developed calibrated. resulting models are described in code-friendly formulation.

Numerical Analysis of Punching Shear Failure of Reinforced Concrete Slabs

Nearly no load bearing behaviour of reinforced concrete members allows such varied interpretations and complex discussions as the shear behaviour. Especially the three-dimensional problem of the punching shear failure of reinforced concrete members is internationally discussed. Nevertheless up to now, there is no unified design approach or even an overall accepted design model. Especially for l...

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs

The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...

Study Punching Shear of Steel Fiber Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete Slabs by Nonlinear Analysis

This paper deals with behavior and capacity of punching shear force for flat slabs produced from steel fiber reinforced self compacting concrete (SFRSCC) by application nonlinear finite element method. Nonlinear finite element analysis on nine slab specimens was achieved by using ANSYS software. A general description of the finite element method, theoretical modeling of concrete and reinforceme...

Hysteretic Behavior of Conventionally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams in Reinforced Concrete Coupled Shear Wall

This paper presents the experimental results of four full-scale coupling beams in which only horizontal reinforcements are placed, without diagonal reinforcements, with the aim to develop reinforcement details for coupling beams used in connecting side walls in a wall-slab structural system. Each coupling beam specimen was designed according to the deep-beam design procedure that does not use d...
